The Maya Brenner x Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation collaboration is comprised of two distinct jewelry collections, Virtues and Racine. The Virtues collection features four unisex necklaces that reflect Wright’s “Organic Commandments,” a set of architectural principles, incorporating the use of geometric shapes for which Wright was known.

Circle and triangle pendants take inspiration from two of Wright’s designs for Liberty Magazine, known as “Jewelry Shop Window” and “Desert Triangles.” A rectangle pendant was influenced by the “City by the Sea” design, originally a mural in the Midway Gardens in Chicago, while a square necklace derives its motif from one of Wright’s tile design sketches.

The Racine collection, featuring a necklace and a hoop earring, are inspired by skylights. Wright designed the SC Johnson Administration Building in Racine, Wisconsin, where he successfully recreated nature on the interior and delivered on his promise that the office would be like working in a forest with sunlight coming from the diffused glass skylights.

“One of the primary goals of this collaboration is to introduce those who may be unfamiliar with Frank Lloyd Wright to his remarkable architectural and design legacy,” explained Maya Brenner. “The opportunity to delve deeper into his life and works was incredibly enriching, and learning about his creative genius and pioneering design principles really opened my eyes to a whole new world of inspiration.”

The Maya Brenner x Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation collections are available in gold vermeil and sterling silver, retail between $168-$248, and can be purchased on www.mayabrenner.com.
