US President Joe Biden is considering a trip to Israel after being invited in a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to two people familiar with the internal discussions.
No decision about whether to travel to Israel has yet been made, the individuals cautioned. Adrienne Watson, a spokesperson for the National Security Council, said in a statement that the White House did not have travel to announce.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken is scheduled to return to Israel on Monday for the second time since last weekend’s Hamas attacks to coordinate efforts on the military response, as well as humanitarian efforts in Gaza.
